About the client
Autopay is a payment system that automates payment collection, for example in online shops and at motorway toll gates. Its PrestaShop module is used by shops running very different versions of the platform.

How we helped the client
Five areas of work on the module, from auditing the inherited code to ongoing testing on new platform versions. Expand to see the details.
Rather than adding new features, we fixed existing bugs and rebuilt logic that had been built incorrectly. On top of that came small configuration changes improving UX and the integration of new payment methods.
We refactored and optimised the module so it runs reliably on different PrestaShop versions, including with a high number of transactions.
We adapted the module to versions 1.6 to 8.2, so a shop can integrate Autopay payments whatever it runs on.
We test the module on new platform versions and keep it under ongoing support, so a PrestaShop update on the shop’s side never stops payments.

Our work with Autopay is about maintaining and tidying up a payment module, not building it from scratch. After taking it over for support, we extended the configuration with options platform users needed, fixed bugs inherited from the previous contractor and stabilised the module under heavy transaction traffic.

Autopay’s clients run shops on different PrestaShop versions. The module supports all of them, so payment integration doesn’t depend on when the shop was last updated.
