We implemented a blog where every post can be linked to specific products and categories. This improved search visibility and gave the team a way to explain how individual tools differ.
Stalco
One shop for customers and distributors with a product blog and a B2B platform
Stalco is a Polish family company operating since 1998. For more than 25 years it has supplied construction tools and accessories, selling to both retail customers and distributors in Poland and abroad.
The blog was to be tied into the catalogue: posts linked to products and categories, used to educate customers and build awareness of the range.
Customers had to be able to find the nearest store directly from the site, so online and in-store shopping work as one channel.
Stalco sells to retail customers and to distributors. The shop had to differentiate the offer and terms for both groups in one system.
Six areas of the project, from the product blog to catalogue import. Expand to see the details.
We implemented a blog where every post can be linked to specific products and categories. This improved search visibility and gave the team a way to explain how individual tools differ.
We launched a feature for finding the nearest physical store and added information on the product page about which stores stock the item.
Business customers got their own account templates with access to special promotions, shopping lists and order history, so wholesale orders are placed in the shop rather than by email.
The visual design came from the client, and we added graphic highlights for key product features plus support for videos and attachments on the product page.
An extended comparison tool lets customers set the features of several products side by side, which often decides the choice with construction tools.
The import automates catalogue management: photos, videos, features and attachments go into the shop without manual entry, which saves days of work with a catalogue of this size.
Stalco manages a large catalogue without retyping data, and customers reach products through the blog, the comparison tool or the store finder. Distributors have their own terms and shopping lists in the same shop where retail customers buy.
Retail and distribution run in one system, with different prices and permissions, so the team serves both channels without switching between tools.
We run electronics and tools shops where customers search by specifications and compare prices. See what we implement in this industry so they reach the right product.
