It is a base module used by other Waynet solutions. Data is fetched, cached and made available in a uniform format, without configuring the API separately in each module.

When each module fetches it separately, the configuration is duplicated in several places and the data can drift apart. All it takes is for one integration to return a different name format, and the same company appears in the store in two ways.
Centralisation solves this once. The module connects to GUS and VIES, caches the responses and passes them to the other modules in one format, so the next query about the same company is instant.
Practical applications
The B2B registration module fetches data from GUS once the tax ID is entered. You configure API access once, and all B2B modules use it.
The Tax Manager checks EU VAT numbers in the VIES database through this module, without separate configuration.
The company address module fetches data by tax ID, and the responses are cached, so subsequent queries work instantly.
